Our Leeds City Council Ranger arranged this event to observe moths and small mammals living in the cemetery. Two wood mice and a shrew were found in the cosy humane traps, a marvellous opportunity to see these wonderful little creatures close up for a few brief moments before being released back into the undergrowth . A number of beautiful moths were trapped for observation and then set free. Cemeteries are havens for wildlife and have an important place in protecting and encouraging habitats. Our thanks to Ella Pashley for these great photographs she has shared with us.
