Tom Mann 1856 – 1941
Tom Mann was born on 15 April 1856 in Grange Road, Longford, now a suburb of Coventry, the son of a clerk who worked at a colliery. He attended school from the ages of six to nine, then began work doing odd jobs on the colliery farm.
